I love Dimaggio's! It's my favorite local restaurant, and I order a calzone every week. When we go to sit down and eat, we always have excellent service. Sofia and Sal make my son feel like a celebrity, and he loves their pizza so much it's never hard to get him to eat. (He's 3, so that's a huge deal to me!) Ed is very friendly and clearly an awesome chef. Everyone there makes us feel welcome. I've never been somewhere with such awesome staff and ownership. Their food is top notch and prices are great. I could not recommend them highly enough. If you haven't eaten at Dimaggio's, you are missing out!

I wasn't a big fan of this place. The service was good, the food not so much. Started with the caprese salad, it was fine but didn't have a ton of flavor. Then we had a pizza and it wasn't very good. It was very greasy and soggy, and just didn't taste very good. I think maybe the dough was a little under done as well. Didn't go for dessert.

When i am in town , i usually go here for the spaghetti and meat balls, even when i was living in Winter Haven , at the time, i would almost always go here, for my post work out . The food was great, price was humble, and the portions were large, You typically get two huge meat balls, and a salad, Very Satisfying meal for not alot of cash. So if you like , Pasta, at a good scratch that at a great price, Then come here you will love it.

I would have liked to have given five stars if the service was good because the food was pretty tasty. However, The water was obviously drawn from the sink which should have at least been filtered and the service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress forgot part of our food items then admitted that she and the cook kept forgetting about it. Who does that? It's a restaurant! I didn't even get the item (which should have been eaten with the meal meal) until I was ready to leave, I had to box it up and take it with me. There weren't very many people there yet our waitress was too preoccupied with other things going on behind the counter and in the back. Which seemed to be far more important then serving the customers. I hope it's not their policy to treat their customers this way. I would think that the owner would want to know if and what was killing their business. If they're wondering why their business isn't doing as well as it should, it is your STAFF Ma'am or Sir. Based on the service alone, I would not come back. I don't need to be sitting in the restaurant for two hours (with hungry and thirsty children) because of lousy service. This restaurant will never reach its full potential with staff like that. Please change or retrain your staff as the customer, getting their food out to them in a timely manner, as well as drink refills and attentiveness should be the number one priority.

Great Italian food, great service and great atmosphere. A locally owned Pizzeria with fresh, great tasting food. We love the BBQ Chicken Pizza, Sub sandwiches and Chicken Parmigiana. Ask for the Sicilian Bread, amazing!

Stopped here after a long day at Legoland. Service was fast, friendly (they poured my beer and plated the pizza at the table), and efficient. We had fried zucchini and calamari that came out quickly while we waited on the pizza. Delicious. Loved the sweet pizza sauce and thin crispy crust. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great meal at a good price.

Love this place! I always get the lunch special two pieces of pizza and a drink for around $4. The best pizza in this town hands down! And great soups as well!

Took a group of 12 or so on a Wednesday night. Everyone ordered their own thing. I enjoyed our pizza, and I heard a lot of other saying good things about their food as well. Service was excellent. I will be going back again.

I can't say enough good things....this is a great place to come and visit with your family. They are very inviting, warm, and welcoming! Our waitress was fantastic! I loved everything about our meal. They had the best wings I've eaten in a long time, they were fresh and fried perfectly, not dried out...on to the salad or I should say salads we ordered an antipasti and mozzarella capresse both again were great and each had a little twist that made them unique and different than others we've had elsewhere. Also, let me take a break from the food to mention that they had stacks of coloring books for the four kids who were with us to color in while we waited. Now back to the food...the pizza was phenomenal the sauce I think but who knows for sure it's just good PERIOD! That was the kids dinner...My husband had a calzone, a MASSIVE Calzone filled with fresh, not canned ingredients...like real mushrooms. My sister got the small Stromboli and she had to take half home it was like a foot long equivalent or pretty close. My mother in law and I both got subs meatball and Italian sausage with peppers...all delicious! The prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food and the quality of service here.

We almost didn't stop here for dinner after a long day at Legoland due to the fact they only had 3 reviews. I always make a point to try local businesses instead of national chains when traveling in order to taste the best of the area. So with some hesitation we stopped anyways and boy are we glad that we did! The pizza was excellent, they had a bunch of coloring books to keep the kids entertained, and the staff was super friendly. They even had decorations on the walls supporting my teams (Yankees and Giants) :-). Legoland Tourists - don't pass up on an opportunity for some great pizza on your way back to the hotel!

This was our first time at the restaurant. We stopped by for dinner after our day at Legoland. The service, atmosphere and food were excellent. The pizza crust was thin and crispy, we enjoyed the dimaggios special.....delish.

Was excited when we ordered a Sicilian pizza with two toppings and a half dozen garlic rolls and the bill was less than $20. Was even more excited when we got our pizza and felt how heavy it was. Was soon disappointed when the pizza was just ok. A little bland for my taste. And then while eating I found a rather large piece of plastic in my pizza - like a piece of a cheese bag or something. We called to inform them to which they said ok. They didn't apologize, offer a discount, etc. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Love this place. I always order the little $5 pizza with mushrooms and onions. Have been going here for over a year now. The onions are perfectly sauteed so that they are just soft enough. I have also ordered the regular pizzas which are pretty good.

This is traditional New York Pizza and Pasta! Love it, my wife and children do Too! The owner Sal, makes all the food fresh to order and they have the best dough, sauce, cheese and creative toppings! We eat there all the time. Good stuff! Even if I would find a piece if plastic in my food, I would just put it off to the side and tear up that food, it's that good!

Great pizza place!!! Ordered over the phone after leaving legoland and was received by the very friendly staff. The food came out in perfect time and it was delicious, my kids were very very happy and kept saying this is the best pizza they have ever had.

My wife and I moved recently and longed to find a "that place" for us again. Somewhere that knows how to make calzones the right way. A place that doesn't frown on you for bringing a toddler. A restaurant that's food doesn't all taste like it was in deep-freeze when you walked in the door. DiMaggio's is our new place, two or three times a month. The family and staff treat us like friends and not just revenue. Sal and Sofia know so many patrons by name you know they are paying attention to what they should be.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
